Location: Idaho Falls Activity Center

We know how hard you work, and what your challenges are. These half-day workshops are custom made for managers, staff, & volunteers. They will focus on building your skills in marketing, developing community connections, staying on top of rules and regulations, and on budget friendly customer incentives perfect for your farmers market. State and local resource providers will join in for a fun and engaging afternoon of education, professional development, and networking. This workshop is specifically designed for those managing or planning to manage a farmers market in Idaho.

  • Making your market a destination for community members and visitors
  • Clever customer incentives that keep them coming back for more
  • De-mystifying rules & regulations that impact your market

Vendors are the heart of every market, and when you’re successful, the market thrives! These one day workshops are designed to help with common business management and marketing issues so that you can focus on what you love and do best: growing and creating the one-of-a-kind items for your loyal customers. This workshop will include time for learning and networking with fellow agricultural, specialty item, prepared food and artisan vendors.  It will also bring together local resources, professionals and service providers for a fun and engaging day. While this content is specifically designed for farmers market vendors, market staff and volunteers are also welcome to attend, especially if they, too, are vendors!

Agenda to include sessions on:

  • Marketing your products and branding your booth
  • Presentation, display and customer service tips and tricks from market veterans
  • Rules and regulations: what affects you and what do you need to know
  • Vendor-specific learning tracks to help you be your best, no matter what you sell
