Boise Co-Op

Boise Co-op is a member-owned cooperative, founded in 1973 by a few dozen individuals with a mutual interest and excitement in buying healthy, great tasting food for a reasonable price. They formed a small, food-buying club tucked away in the back room of the El-Ada community outreach center where they remained until 1975.

Now with two locations, one in Boise’s North End and another at The Village in Meridian, the Boise Co-op has remained dedicated to supporting local food producers. If you’re looking for local dairy, meat, produce, bread, and more the Co-op is a great place to shop. We have an impressive variety of local beer and wine, too. As a community-owned cooperative, we understand the importance of local partnerships. The Boise Co-op currently sources products from over 300 local vendors.
