Food Technology Center

The University of Idaho Food Technology Center provides essential processing and educational support for emerging food entrepreneurs aiming to create packaged food products for resale. Beyond offering technical assistance in product and process development, the Center features a commercial kitchen and processing facility equipped with specialized tools for small businesses to obtain licenses and produce packaged goods.

Additionally, the Center houses a pilot plant for larger-scale or corporate process testing and complies with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) for scientific research.

Located at the U of I Caldwell Campus, the Food Technology Center is equipped with resources to support various functions, including:

• Development of products and processes
