Enhancing Accessibility for Lower-Income Residents through snap/EBT BENEFITS
To enhance accessibility for lower-income residents, Federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or EBT Benefits, is accepted by many vendors during markets. SNAP provides critical nutrition support nationwide. Teton Valley Farmers Market is a proud supporter.
Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) Program
Through our partnership with the Idaho Farmers Market Association, the Double Up Food Bucks program doubles SNAP benefits, offering up to $20 in additional assistance per patron, per market visit.
HOW IT WORKS
- Bring your SNAP/EBT card to the market info booth before you shop.
- Our team will help you exchange your dollars for wooden tokens. For every dollar you will receive a $1 valued wood SNAP token.
- Every dollar, up to $20, exchanged for SNAP tokens, will be matched with FREE DUFB tokens. (I.E. You exchange $20 from your EBT card, you will receive $20 SNAP wooden tokens AND $20 DUFB tokens).
- Exchange your SNAP & DUFB tokens with approved SNAP/DUFB vendors on eligible items. ***SNAP & DUFB tokens have distinct tokens & eligible items. See list below.
- Come back every week and do it again!
