It’s Idaho Preferred Month: Discover Local Foods at Your Favorite Retailers

Each September, we come together to celebrate the peak of Idaho’s harvest and highlight the exceptional quality of our locally-grown foods. Governor Little’s proclamation of September as Idaho Preferred Month underscores Idaho’s rich agricultural offerings and the crucial role our retail partners play in connecting you with these top-quality products.

What is Idaho Preferred Month?

Idaho Preferred Month is a celebration showcasing the outstanding local food products produced by Idaho’s farmers, ranchers, and food crafters. It’s a time to experience the best of local agriculture and support the hardworking individuals behind it. Through our partnerships with retailers across the state, we have coordinated events that let you taste Idaho-grown foods and learn more about the people who work so hard to bring food to your table.

Find Idaho-Grown Produce at Your Favorite Local Retailers

Retailers across the state have made it easy for their customers to identify Idaho-grown products. Simply look for the Idaho Preferred logo when shopping at Idaho grocery stores like Walmart, Atkinson’s, Broulim’s, Stokes, Ridley’s, Fred Meyer, and more. This logo helps you know first-hand that the products you are purchasing are produced by local Idaho farmers, ranchers, or food crafters with ingredients grown in Idaho!
