American Ostrich Farms

The Healthy Red Meat

Producer

20601 S Pleasant Valley Rd,, Kuna , ID  83634

In 2012, while residing in South Africa, Idaho-native founder Alex McCoy had a life-changing encounter with ostrich meat – a discovery that resonated deeply with his carnivorous nature, athletic lifestyle, and commitment to a healthy way of living. Delving into the intricacies of this remarkable protein, he realized its scarcity back home presented a unique opportunity.

Less than a year later, Alex established American Ostrich Farms, a family-run ranch nestled in Kuna. Spanning 120 acres of native grasses and sagebrush, the open spaces and arid climate resemble the ostrich’s natural environment.

For more than a decade now, American Ostrich Farms continues to focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability. With its own USDA-inspected processing facility on-site, the farm manages everything from hatching and rearing through processing and distribution. This integrated model provides a direct connection between the ranch and customers across the country, making American Ostrich Farms a special source for nutrient-dense ostrich meat and other premium products.
