Caprine began with the desire to make useful products from the mohair of our angora goats here in north Idaho. Angela is the creator and visionary behind Caprine. Angela and her two daughters do it all – from managing the ranch, to creating a USA made supply chain for socks and throws, to order fulfillment right here on the ranch.
The family is actively involved in every step of the process—raising the goats, shearing them, and producing the final products—while upholding the highest standards of animal welfare, quality, and sustainability. Caprine is dedicated to crafting high-quality mohair goods designed to last and provide comfort. Embracing the principle of “knowing where your clothes come from,” Caprine ensures that every part of the journey begins and ends at Red Falcon Ranch.

American Mohair Assurance certified. They believe in living in harmony with the land we live on. This includes planting trees to provide shade for our pasture grass and animals. Mohair is a renewable, sustainable resource. The mohair that is not fine enough for socks and throws becomes rugs. Mohair that is unusable becomes mulch in the garden. Nothing goes to waste. The goats are treated with love and respect. They are not terminal animals and therefore live long lives producing mohair to make useful goods that last.
