Lancaster Creek Farms

Randall and Lynette Smith own and operate Idaho’s first Tree Farm in Hayden, ID, which is also the only Tree Farm listed in Idaho’s Centennial Farms program. Randall retired from the Army in 2018 after 36 years of service, during which he held various roles.

The couple is fortunate to have settled on the farm where Randall grew up, a place filled with cherished memories. Since 2019, they have expanded their herd of Belted Galloway cattle from just two to 65 by 2024. In addition to cattle, they also raise chickens and goats and operate a sawmill.

They primarily sell beef directly to customers by the half or quarter, but as their herd continues to grow, they may explore additional sales channels.
