Melad Tree Farm has been known throughout the Treasure Valley as the go-to for large specimen trees. They are recognized as a large specimen tree grower and transplanter in the Northwest with over 30 years in the business, of planting and transplanting trees for homeowners, landscapers, and commercial customers alike.

Nathan grew up in Nampa, Idaho, earning a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Boise State University and started Melad Tree Farm LLC in 1992. Melad Tree Farm prides itself on being a local family business with deep roots in the Treasure Valley. Nathan and his expert crew operate a fleet of trucks weekly. Their fleet consists of one 100-inch Big John spade truck (the largest Big John spade in the Northwest), three 90-inch, and two 45-inch Big Johns.

As Idaho natives, the Melad family has felt the ever-growing demand for large tree canopies that help remove pollutants from the air, soil, and water. Large tree canopies release water vapor into the atmosphere which cools the surrounding areas, they intercept rainfall and reduce stormwater runoff. They also provide energy savings and reduce greenhouse gas emissions due to the shade they provide. Large mature trees also add value to a property for years to come.
