Red Chair Lavender

Bill and Wendy moved to Eagle in 1986 and bought a 6-acre parcel Northwest of town. It started as just a hay field, where they built the garage first- which is where they stayed until the house was completed! At the time Bill was working with his assisted living business, and Wendy was working full time at a local Montessori school- and eventually Edwards Greenhouse in Boise.

As they were building, Wendy put her green thumb to work. As soon as an area was graded and ready, Wendy started planting! Trees, bushes, bulbs, nearly anything she could find to accent areas went into the ground, just as soon as the soil was ready.

The lavender field officially began to grow in 2011, and only continued to expand over the coming years! Our first still “Lavanda” was acquired in in 2014, and they immediately began distilling oil from the fresh lavender. A second still was purchased in 2019 to help with the harvest!

Today, Red Chair Lavender offers over one hundred home grown and handmade products, and we only continue to grow! We provide essential oils to assisted living communities for their Memory Care facilities, and for offering Red Chair products to their patients as well! It has been a very rewarding and happy journey for Bill and Wendy, their family, and for countless others who have visited the farm. Red Chair Lavender aims to keep inventing, growing, and ultimately making people happy.
