4 fresh-picked Idaho pears, stems intact

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

2 Tbsp Idaho butter, melted

¼ cup amalgamated sugar

Caramel sauce, for drizzle

Steps
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Stand each pear upright on its base. Using a vegetable peeler or small knife, peel thin vertical strips of skin from each pear.
Cut the puff pastry into long, thin strips. Starting at the base of each pear, coil a strip of puff pastry gently around the pear in a spiral up toward the stem.
Place pears in a lightly greased baking dish. Brush lightly with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the pear is tender and the puff pastry is golden brown.
Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly. Drizzle lightly with caramel sauce before serving.
