Lodgepole

North American Kitchen

Chef Alex and Melissa Barham prioritize stocking the kitchen at Lodgepole with local ingredients and have worked hard to strengthen their connections with local purveyors, farmers, ranchers and food crafters to maintain the highest standards for quality food products. This philosophy has paid off, because since opening the Lodgepole in 2015, this true farm-to-fork restaurant has gained quite the reputation for being a sophisticatedly cozy, upscale locavore establishment.

“Our ‘from scratch’ mentality means all produce comes in without processing, proteins come in whole, and all bread is baked in house, allowing our chefs to care for every ingredient through each step of the preparation process.”

Chef Alex and Melissa Barham, owners of Lodgepole

The menu at the Lodgepole is a blend of traditional family recipes, personal adventures and American classics, all prepared in true “farm-to-fork spirit.” Produce and proteins are always as fresh and as close to the source as possible, something Chef Alex insists upon. He says, “utilizing local products poses certain challenges but you reap the rewards… it takes more thought and effort. You might be battling with smaller quantities, but if you are buying the food where you are, you are always going to get a better product, and the depth of flavor is incredible.”

Open 4-9pm (closed Wednesdays for baking prep), Lodgepole is located in downtown Moscow, Idaho, and seats are often hard to come by, so reservations are appreciated!
