Zenner Family Farm

Zenner Family Farm, located in the scenic rolling hills of the Palouse in Genesee, Idaho, has been a beacon of agricultural heritage and sustainability since 1935. The farm’s legacy began with Clint’s great-grandfather, John Peter Zenner, known as Jempi, who immigrated from Luxembourg in 1903. He and his wife, Gertrude Zellerhoff, established their farming roots in the U.S., setting the stage for future generations. Clint’s great-grandfather Peter expanded the family’s agricultural footprint by acquiring land in Genesee, where the Zenner legacy continues today.

In 2011, Clint Zenner took on a new chapter by succeeding his cousin, Russ Zenner, as the steward of the family farm. Building on Russ’s pioneering work in the no-till movement and his role in founding the Pacific Northwest Direct Seed Association, Clint and his wife Alecia officially established Zenner Family Farm in 2012.

Clint and Alecia’s dedication to sustainable farming is evident through their commitment to regenerative practices. By rotating crops, using natural fertilizers, and conserving water, they ensure their farming methods not only produce high-quality crops but also enhance soil health. Their passion for farming is reflected in every harvest, supporting a brighter, greener future.

The Zenner Family Farm is also the sole source of beans for Zacca Hummus, a beloved Idaho-produced treat available in grocery stores nationwide. Through their ongoing efforts, Clint and Alecia honor their family’s agricultural roots while cultivating change—one seed at a time.
