Porter Glenn Farms

Welcome to Porter Glenn Farms

Nestled in the Blacks Creek Crossing of the Oregon Trial, Porter Glenn Farms is a small, family-owned farm in Idaho that began in the spring of 2021.

They began by setting up a test field and planted three types of trees to see which trees would do best in their environment. They started with 100 trees and currently have Bing, Stella, and Montmorency cherry trees. They also grow various apple and pear trees and operate as a nursery, offering a variety of trees and plants. They have plans on a larger field of 1000 trees in the spring of 2024.

Porter Glenn Farms practices organic methods for treating their fields and crops. Using solar power, they operate completely off the grid. They further practice sustainable farming methods by using water from their rainwater collection system and conserve water using drip systems, with clovers and wildflowers in between the rows.
