Yellow Brick Café is a farm-to-fork treasure in the Magic Valley region of Idaho. By choosing to source ingredients from local farms, ranches, and food crafters, Kathy hopes to instill her food philosophy– food should be fun, food should be nourishing and, whenever possible, food should be sourced locally.
Fusing her love for wholesome nourishing ingredients, beautifully plated dishes, and local sustainable food culture, Chef Kathy McRae first opened Yellow Brick Café with the help of her family in 2017. After working for several years as a chef in California’s Sacramento and Napa Valley regions, she moved to Twin Falls, ID. It is a place where she feels well-rooted, and she wanted to come home to cultivate a sense of community for herself.
Kathy collaborates with numerous farm and ranch families in the Twin Falls and Magic Valley area, including Red Star Ranch, Peters Family Farms, Cloverleaf Creamery, River Road Farms and Ballard Family Dairy & Cheese, to name a few.
Although the cafe is typically open for breakfast and lunch, Kathy loves to host quarterly events that showcase seasonal foods and locally produced wines. Fall Harvest Wine Dinner, for example, is an opportunity for Kathy and company to share inventive food and uniquely paired wines that come from the local terroir.
Yellow Brick Café features wholesome, farm-fresh and nourishing American comfort food. Breakfast, weekend brunch and lunch are their specialties.
