Wissel Farms | An Idaho Farmer Story
The Neighborhood Farm Stand, and so much more!
Wissel Farms has been growing food—and community—since 1911, right in the heart of Nampa, Idaho, even as housing developments have popped up all around them. Their neighborhood farm stand is a beloved hub where neighbors stop for fresh vegetables, flowers, honey, and bread—and leave with a smile.
Benita and Matt Wissel have spent decades feeding their community, and sharing their passion for wholesome, locally grown food. Matt is always experimenting in the fields—this season he’s growing corn for a local distillery and special masa corn for homemade tortillas—while Benita keeps the Veggie Club boxes organized and helps tend the fields. Morgan greets visitors at the farm stand and at the Wissel U-Pick gardens, located down the way, sharing the family’s story. On weekends, you might find her teaching the next generation how to run the register.

In the fall, the farm comes alive with a nostalgic pumpkin patch, inviting families to enjoy a wholesome ag-venture and create seasonal memories. During the winter, Wissel Farms continues the tradition of spreading cheer with Christmas trees, sharing the bounty of Idaho with the community year-round.
When you meet your farmers, you taste the difference in the food; when you watch the family at work, you feel the legacy. Whether you’re picking pumpkins with your kids, gathering vegetables for a weeknight meal, or selecting the perfect tree for the holidays, Wissel Farms offers a year-round experience that’s as heartwarming as it is delicious.
